The course teaches the basics of business administration in the areas of marketing and production. In the first part of the module you will get to know marketing as a central guiding concept of corporate management and gain a compact insight into the necessary analytical and methodological knowledge of marketing management. The second part focuses on the management of production and service systems. You will acquire a fundamental understanding of value-added processes and learn how these can be designed and planned in order to achieve entrepreneurial goals in the best possible way.

As part of the tutorials, the students (in groups) optimize the fictitious company BayRun in the first management game with regard to program planning, batch size planning and sequence planning. Here, the learned models are implemented with the programming language Julia JuMP. Previous knowledge of Julia is not required.
In the second game, students (in groups) compete against each other and apply their knowledge of inventory management in a digital learning factory.
