If you are interested in how value creation processes can be designed and operated sustainably,
Then our course "Sustainable Production and Operations Management" (short: SusPOM) suits you perfectly. In addition to fundamental questions concerning the evaluation of processes in the area of conflicting goals, we deal with sustainable value creation networks, environmentally friendly production methods and service-based business models. In international teams you will work on various case studies and discuss the applicability of the learned concepts and methods with practitioners.

If you are particularly interested in the challenges of designing and planning production systems and which approaches production management has to offer for their solution,
Then listen to our course "Design and Configuration of Industrial Production Systems" (short: GiP). Among other things, you will learn how companies should design their production facilities. In interactive courses, you will learn about the most important planning procedures and apply them to industry examples using software tools. An excursion and guest lectures complete the package.

If you are a team player, would like to implement an optimization problem from scratch, maybe would even like to write your thesis with us soon,
Then be part of our course "Case Studies in Production and Operations Management" (short: POMCases). In the Coding Lab we implememt solution methods for three common planning problems of the automotive industry. You gain advanced implementation skills in Julia/JuMP, an open source programming environment for mathematical optimization. Following the introduction to the planning problems and the software tools, you will sucessively work on you implementation skills in order to conduct a case study deepening your knowledge of one of the planning problems and practice scientific writing by writing a paper.
